Supporting Team

Anita Alvarado, originally from Ecuador, lives in the city of Ambato. She holds a degree in accounting and auditing and currently serves as the CEO of Importadora Alvarado. With over 15 years in finance and accounting and 17 years in executive leadership, she brings extensive expertise to both business and nonprofit endeavors.

A dedicated mother of two, Anita’s advocacy began when her daughter Anabella was born with a disability. Faced with limited local resources, she became deeply committed to supporting children with special needs and their families, especially those with financial constraints. Her passion led her to collaborate with caregivers, educators, and health professionals, helping coordinate access to therapies and community-based services.

Since 2003, Anita has been a key volunteer with Medical Mission Ecuador, which provides free surgeries and therapies in Ambato. Her leadership has also been instrumental in supporting Missions for Love Beyond Borders, where she helps connect local schools and professionals, fostering sustainable impact and community empowerment.
